Advisory · AI Opportunity Assessment

Know where AI is worth your money before you spend it.

Most organisations do not have an AI problem. They have a prioritisation problem. There are dozens of places AI could be applied, and no reliable way to tell which ones will pay for themselves. The assessment gives you that answer, grounded in your processes, your data and your economics.

What you get

  • 01

A ranked list of AI opportunities scored on value, complexity, data readiness and risk

  • 02

A clear view of what your data can and cannot support today

  • 03

An honest short list of opportunities worth a business case, and a longer list of ones to park

How we do it

The same discipline every time: understand the business, quantify, test, then commit.

Deliverables

  • Opportunity inventory with scoring model
  • AI Value Matrix positioning every candidate
  • Data readiness snapshot
  • Executive briefing and short-list recommendation
  1. Understand the business first

We work through your strategy, operating model, key workflows and cost structure with the people who run them. We are looking for friction, repetition, delay and decisions made with incomplete information.

  2. Map candidate use cases

Every workflow is examined for where language models, machine learning, automation or better software could remove effort or improve outcomes. We deliberately include non-AI options so the comparison is fair.

  3. Score and position each opportunity

Each candidate is scored against expected business value, implementation complexity, data readiness, technical feasibility, organisational readiness, risk and time to value, then plotted on the Whitesoft AI Value Matrix.

  4. Recommend the short list

You receive a defensible short list of opportunities that justify a business case, with the reasoning for each and the reasons the others did not make the cut.

Questions we are often asked

Do we need to have chosen an AI platform or vendor first?

No. The assessment is deliberately technology-agnostic. Choosing a platform before you know which problems you are solving is one of the most common and expensive mistakes we see.

What if the assessment finds that AI is not a good fit?

Then you have saved a considerable amount of money. Some findings point to process or software changes rather than AI, and we will say so plainly.

A short conversation is enough to tell whether this is the right starting point for you.
